(Silver) Order 66
Episode III- Revenge of the Sith
This may sound weird but watching Revenge of the Sith for the first time was like witnessing historical events "unfold in real-time" (to paraphrase a review of the movie by critic Ty Burr). This is one of the parts that felt like that. There are so many momentous and heart-breaking scenes throughout the film, and this is one of the best. Order 66 is given by Chancellor Palpatine, who is the Star Wars equivalent of the Devil. So, it's little coincidence that the order is one 6 shy of 666, the number of the beast, one of the Devil's servants in the Book of Revelations. As the sequence begins, Obi-Wan is attacked by his own clone troopers while riding his creature. Its confused and helpless cry as it plummets just about encapsulates the tragic fate of the Jedi Order. As the Jedi are being killed, the music score is the saddest of Star Wars. I used to get a little choked up watching it all happen.

As I am sure you know, Apparently this sequence was supervised by Steven Spielberg, amazing how well it encapsulates the rest of the movie. Love the grand designs of the different planets as well. Really adds to the operatic feel.
